Improper input validation in Google Chrome before 149.0.7827.53 allows attackers to bypass DevTools navigation restrictions. DevTools accepts navigation input from a crafted Chrome extension without sufficient validation; Google has not published the affected function or validation rule. Exploitation requires a user to install a malicious extension, after which it can alter permitted navigation without reported data disclosure or service interruption.
