Sandbox escape via undisclosed WebView implementation flaw
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Inappropriate implementation in Google Chrome for Android before 149.0.7827.53 allows remote attackers to escape the browser sandbox. The restricted Chromium issue does not disclose the WebView code locus or the incorrect operation performed on untrusted HTML. A crafted HTML page and prior compromise of the renderer process are required, after which the attacker escapes the renderer sandbox.
