Authenticated code execution via task-template path traversal
Published Jan 18, 2026 · Updated Jan 18, 2026
Path traversal in PublicCMS 5.202506.a through 5.202506.d allows remote authenticated users to write files outside the task directory. TaskTemplateAdminController.save passes the path parameter through one-pass dot removal without normalization or a directory-boundary check, then writes decoded content to the resulting path. Administrative task-template access permits overwriting an executable task script, which runs attacker-supplied commands when the script is triggered.
