CVE-2026-1109

Service interruption via unchecked RTSP request copy

Published Jan 18, 2026 · Updated Jan 18, 2026

Buffer overflow in cijliu librtsp allows local users to interrupt an RTSP service by submitting a crafted RTSP request. The rtsp_parse_request function copies attacker-controlled request data into a memory buffer without first enforcing the destination size. Reachability requires a local low-privileged user and an application that invokes the affected parser; public evidence establishes availability impact but not code execution.
