Sandboxed code execution via Password Manager use-after-free
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Use after free in Google Chrome Password Manager before 149.0.7827.53 allows remote attackers to execute code in its sandbox via crafted HTML. Google has not disclosed the freed object, the lifetime error, or the Password Manager code path that reuses the stale reference. A victim must load attacker-controlled HTML, and the resulting code execution remains confined to the browser sandbox unless combined with a separate escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
