Administrator token theft via login-only permission callback
Published Jan 24, 2026 · Updated Jan 24, 2026
Missing authorization in AIKTP 5.0.04 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to obtain the administrator's synchronization token. The /aiktp/getToken REST endpoint delegates permission to verify_user_logged_in, which checks login state but not manage_options capability. Subscriber-level access is enough to read private content and use the token to create posts or upload media as an administrator.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
