Sandboxed code execution via Media integer overflow
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Integer overflow in Google Chrome's Media component before 149.0.7827.53 allows remote attackers to execute code inside the sandbox. Google has not disclosed the affected Media code path or the arithmetic operation that overflows when processing the malicious file. Opening or otherwise processing an attacker-supplied file is required, and successful exploitation yields code execution confined to Chrome's sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
