Sandbox escape via insufficient InterestGroups validation
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Improper input validation in InterestGroups in Google Chrome before 149.0.7827.53 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. The component accepts untrusted InterestGroups input from a compromised renderer without sufficient validation, but Google has not disclosed the rejected property or validation check. Exploitation requires prior renderer compromise and user interaction with the crafted page; successful escape crosses the renderer sandbox boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
