Sandboxed code execution via PDF use-after-free
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Chrome's PDF component before 149.0.7827.53 allows remote attackers to execute code in the sandbox via a crafted PDF. Google identifies the locus only as PDF and has not published which object is freed or which later operation reuses it; the linked bug is restricted. A user must open the crafted file and perform specific UI gestures, and the reported consequence remains confined to the browser sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
