Sandbox escape via Viz use-after-free
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Use-after-free in Viz in Google Chrome before 149.0.7827.53 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. The Viz component accesses an object after its lifetime ends, but Google has not publicly identified the object or affected code path. Exploitation requires user interaction and prior renderer compromise, after which execution can cross the renderer sandbox boundary.
