CVE-2026-10870Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via unsanitized DHCP option

Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026

OS command injection in Shibby Tomato 1.28.0000 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root through the Web UI. The start_dhcpc function copies the dhcpc_custom NVRAM value into an udhcpc command string and passes it to /bin/sh -c without filtering shell metacharacters. Web administrator credentials and access to WAN/DHCP settings are required; injected commands run as root when the DHCP client starts.
