Authenticated record deletion via validation precedence error
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Incorrect authorization in MISP 2.5.38 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete protected records via HTTP DELETE. The CRUDComponent delete handler evaluates DELETE independently of a null validation result because its POST-or-DELETE test lacks grouping parentheses. Access to an affected authenticated delete endpoint is required, and successful exploitation removes records rejected by application-level validation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
