CVE-2026-10848Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote stack disclosure via unterminated OCPP fields

Published Aug 2, 2026 · Updated Aug 2, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Zephyr RTOS 4.3.0 through 4.4.1 allows remote attackers to disclose stack data via crafted OCPP RPC frames. extract_string_field() copies oversized uid or action strings into 128-byte stack buffers without terminating them, after which strchr() scans beyond the buffers and a response formatter can return adjacent stack bytes. Exposure requires CONFIG_OCPP and an attacker-controlled, compromised, or intercepted Central System; malformed frames can also corrupt one adjacent byte and crash the device.
