Stored CSS injection via unescaped block attributes
Published Aug 1, 2026 · Updated Aug 1, 2026
Stored CSS injection in Brainstorm Force Spectra Legacy before 2.20.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter published page styling. The Advanced Heading headingColor and other block-style attributes are concatenated into generated front-end CSS without validation or escaping. A Contributor can store the payload, but an Editor or Administrator must publish the post; anonymous visits then trigger external loads, redressing, or CSS-selector data exfiltration, without JavaScript execution.
