Subscription cancellation via unchecked subscription ownership
Published Jun 27, 2026 · Updated Jun 27, 2026
Authorization bypass in Proper Fraction ProfilePress before 4.16.17 allows remote authenticated users to cancel other users' subscriptions. The membership subscription-action handler accepts a sequential subscription ID and attacker-mintable nonce without confirming that the subscription belongs to the acting account. Subscriber access is sufficient; cancellation can remove a lifetime member's role and propagate to a connected payment gateway.
