Student-to-admin access via shared session identifier
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Missing authorization in LakshayD02 Hostel Management System PHP allows remote authenticated users to access administrative pages. The admin checklogin.php helper treats any nonempty shared session ID, including one set by an ordinary student login in hostel/index.php, as proof of administrator status. An ordinary student account is sufficient to view student records and reach course, room, complaint, and record-management functions.
