Bulk category modification via missing nonce validation
Published Jan 24, 2026 · Updated Jan 24, 2026
CSRF in saurav.rox Set Unset Bulk Post Categories 1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify post categories in bulk. The bulk update handler in set-bulk-categories.php accepts category-changing requests without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or submit a forged request, and the resulting changes affect post categorization rather than content or availability.
