CVE-2026-10773Public exploit

Crash and log disclosure via DHCP table overread

Published Aug 1, 2026 · Updated Aug 1, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Zephyr RTOS 1.7.0 through 4.4.1 allows remote attackers on the same link to crash DHCPv4 clients or expose logged memory. net_dhcpv4_msg_type_name() compares an untrusted DHCP option byte with the pointer array's byte size, then uses the accepted value as an element index and passes the resulting wild pointer to a string logger. The path requires DHCPv4 debug logging and a reply satisfying normal transaction checks; consequences are limited to a device fault or incidental memory disclosure through configured logs.
