PHP object injection via raw custom metadata
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
PHP object injection in Metaphor Creations Post Duplicator before 3.0.15 allows remote authenticated users to inject objects during post duplication. The customMetaData path stores a raw serialized value without the meta API protection that would preserve it as a string, so get_post_meta() later instantiates the object. Contributor-level access is sufficient by default; code execution, file operations, or data disclosure additionally requires a suitable installed POP chain.
