Site takeover via self-deleting plugin loader
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Backdoored ShapedPlugin Pro plugin builds allow remote attackers to steal credentials and take full control of WordPress sites. In Real Testimonials Pro, TestimonialPRO.php loads LicenseLoader.php on admin_init; the loader installs a disguised plugin, reports the site, then removes its loading code. Exposure requires installation of a compromised commercial build; the second stage writes files, executes commands, bypasses login, and exfiltrates passwords, cookies, and TOTP secrets.
