Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Mar 7, 2026 · Updated Mar 7, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Themepul Purchase Button For Affiliate Link 1.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin settings. The settings form handler in inc/purchase-btn-options-page.php accepts state-changing requests without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to submit a forged request, such as by following an attacker-controlled link, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized plugin configuration changes.
