CVE-2026-10716Network attack vector

Administrator SQL injection via unvalidated geometry subtype

Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

SQL injection in Directus before 12.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL during PostgreSQL/PostGIS collection creation. The fields service accepts any fields[].type value beginning with geometry, and the PostgreSQL helper embeds the derived subtype without neutralization in a raw geometry subtype used by CREATE TABLE. Collection-creation permission, normally administrator access, and a PostgreSQL backend with PostGIS are required; injected statements run as the configured database role and can read, alter, or delete database data.
