Resource consumption in Dask 3.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt analytics workloads through nunique_approx input. The compute_hll_array path casts deterministic 64-bit pandas row hashes to uint32, discarding half the bits before HyperLogLog state calculation. Reachability requires a network-exposed workflow that accepts attacker-controlled dataframe values, and the published impact is limited to partial availability loss.
