Kernel memory corruption via unchecked OA frame lengths
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Out-of-bounds access in Zephyr RTOS 3.7.0 through 4.4.1 allows attackers to corrupt kernel memory via Ethernet traffic. In OA SPI mode, eth_adin2111_oa_data_read() trusts wire-derived chunk counts and lengths, allowing the reassembly cursor and undersized transfer buffers to cross fixed bounds. Reachability requires an ADIN2111 or ADIN1110 interface on the same single-pair Ethernet segment; exploitation needs no authentication or user interaction and can wedge the link or enable further compromise.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
