CVE-2026-10665Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote memory corruption via oversized WireGuard payload

Published Jul 12, 2026 · Updated Jul 12, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in Zephyr RTOS 4.4.0 WireGuard receive path allows remote attackers to corrupt kernel memory via oversized data. wg_process_data_message() passes the attacker-derived payload length as both the destination capacity and copy length when linearizing into a CONFIG_WIREGUARD_BUF_LEN pool buffer. Remote attackers need a valid receiver index obtained as a configured peer or by observing an active session; the copy reliably crashes the device, while further corruption depends on target memory layout.
