Stored XSS via permissive SVG upload validation
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
Stored XSS in 10Web Form Maker 1.15.35 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through submitted SVG files. File-upload validation keeps SVG in the default allowlist and accepts names through a substring-based extension check instead of enforcing a safe file type. A public form must expose a file-upload field, and the payload runs in administrators’ or visitors’ browsers when the stored file is viewed.
