CVE-2026-10609Network attack vector

Privilege escalation via unauthorized ServiceAccount token forwarding

Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026

Missing authorization in Red Hat OpenShift Logging allows remote authenticated users to steal ServiceAccount tokens via crafted log forwarders. The Cluster Logging Operator creates kubernetes.io/service-account-token Secrets and sends them as bearer authentication to configured output URLs without an output-side authorization check. Write access to ClusterLogForwarder resources is required; receiver-only inputs bypass input-side review, and stolen tokens inherit the target account's RBAC permissions.
