Unauthenticated administrator takeover via REST authorization bypass
Published Jun 5, 2026 · Updated Jun 5, 2026
Authentication bypass in Hippoo Mobile App for WooCommerce 1.9.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over administrator accounts. HippooPermissions::get_user_permissions() returns the same null sentinel for administrators and unauthenticated visitors, and has_role_access() treats that value as full administrator access when REST routes are cloned under /wc-hippoo/v1/ext/. No credentials or user interaction are required; an attacker can reset any WordPress user's password through the proxied users endpoint and gain full site control.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
