Unauthenticated file deletion via unchecked form path
Published Jan 28, 2026 · Updated Jan 28, 2026
Path traversal in Snow Monkey Forms 12.0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary server files through a REST request. The view REST route accepts a crafted formid that generate_user_dirpath incorporates into a filesystem path without confining it to the upload directory, after which cleanup removes the attacker-selected target. Authentication is not required; deleting wp-config.php can interrupt the site and create conditions for remote code execution.
