Administrative state changes via missing nonce validation
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
CSRF in jotis Blue Captcha 2.0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin state through an administrator's browser. The blcap_main_page, Hall of Shame, and Log handlers consume blcap_action or action from $_REQUEST and invoke destructive operations without verifying a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator to submit a forged request; it can uninstall the plugin, erase logs or entries, and add arbitrary IP addresses to the block list.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
