Unauthenticated price manipulation via unchecked cart parameter
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
Improper input validation in CoCart before 4.9.0 allows remote attackers to complete WooCommerce orders at manipulated totals. The cocart/v2/cart/add-item endpoint passes a caller-supplied price to CoCart_Cart_Cache::set_new_price() because does_product_allow_price_change() defaults to true. No authentication is required; a reachable public REST endpoint and a valid product identifier are sufficient to underprice items in a guest cart and carry the altered total into checkout.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
