Application disruption via unsafe raster coordinate arithmetic
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in Samsung Open Source rlottie allow local users to disrupt applications by supplying crafted animations. The raster path left-shifts signed coordinates, and the gradient-table loop subtracts from an unchecked zero stop count, allowing arithmetic to drive reads beyond valid storage. Exploitation requires user interaction to process attacker-controlled animation data; reported effects are bounded to integrity loss and service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
