Authenticated router crash via unchecked Profile copy
Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 1200GW 2.5.3-170306 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via Profile input. The /goform/formFireWall handler passes the attacker-controlled Profile value to strcpy without checking its length against the destination stack buffer. Authenticated access to the management endpoint is required, and the published artifact demonstrates service interruption rather than code execution.
