CVE-2026-10279Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via pane_id shell interpolation

Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026

OS command injection in hiraishikentaro wezterm-mcp 0.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through pane_id. The switch_pane and write_to_specific_pane handlers pass pane_id into shell command strings executed by child_process.exec without runtime type validation. Access to an MCP client that can submit a string value is required, and injected commands run with the MCP server process privileges.
