Authenticated code execution via unchecked strcpy
Published Jun 1, 2026 · Updated Jun 1, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DI-8400 16.07.26A1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code via /dbsrv.asp. The request handler passes the nonempty str/src value to strcpy without checking the destination stack buffer capacity. Valid web-management credentials are required; a crafted POST can crash the appliance or execute arbitrary code.
