Internal resource access via unrestricted URL scraping
Published May 31, 2026 · Updated May 31, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Aider-AI Aider 0.86.3 allows remote authenticated users to make its built-in scraper request internal URLs. The scraping path in aider/scrape.py fetches attacker-influenced destinations without rejecting private, link-local, or metadata addresses or revalidating redirects. Access to direct an Aider scraping task is required; on cloud hosts, requests can disclose instance metadata or credentials.
