Stack-based buffer overflow in Edimax BR-6478AC 1.23 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted POST request. The formWanTcpipSetup handler passes the attacker-controlled pppUserName value to strcat(), appending it to a stack buffer without a length check. Low-privileged management access is required, and the published proof of concept sends 5,000 bytes to trigger the corruption.
