Authenticated code execution via unchecked stack copy
Published May 31, 2026 · Updated May 31, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in TRENDnet TEW-432BRP 3.10B20 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router through an HTTP request. The boa formResetStatistic handler copies the webpage parameter into a fixed-size stack local without length validation, overwriting its return address. Basic authentication is required; the published PoC demonstrates persistent service loss, while the return-address overwrite enables arbitrary code execution.
