Authenticated service crash via held HTTP/2 streams
Published May 30, 2026 · Updated May 30, 2026
Denial of service in Open5GS 2.7.0 through 2.7.7 allows remote authenticated users to crash SBI network functions via HTTP/2 requests. The on_begin_headers function allocates stream and request objects when headers arrive, then asserts a nonnull stream after unfinished bodies exhaust fixed pools. SBI network access and valid credentials are required; affected processes exit or restart, interrupting that network function.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
