Pre-auth code execution via improper DRDA handshake
Published Jun 30, 2026 · Updated Jun 30, 2026
Code injection in IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.4 allows remote attackers to execute code via DRDA. The pre-authentication DRDA handshake handler processes crafted handshake data in a way that enables code injection; IBM has withheld the affected routine and replication details. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation can fully compromise the database server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
