Internal data disclosure via allowlist-only image proxy
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Server-side request forgery in the MoviePilot v2 image proxy allows remote authenticated users to read internal service data via crafted URLs. SecurityUtils.is_safe_url accepts a target when its domain matches the assembled allowlist but does not reject private, loopback, or link-local addresses before the proxy fetches it. Any logged-in user with a resource_token cookie can enumerate configured internal media services and retrieve data that those services return as valid images.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
