Secret disclosure via InfraEnv error status
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Information disclosure in assisted-service allows remote authenticated users to read referenced pull-secret contents through InfraEnv status. The InfraEnv reconciler passes pull-secret validation errors into its generic error handler, which appends the raw error text to a status condition message. Namespace users who can read InfraEnv objects but cannot read Secrets can recover registry usernames, passwords, email addresses, and authentication tokens.
