Credential disclosure via OAuth query parameters

Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026

Information disclosure in Red Hat Quay 3's config-tool allows remote authenticated users to read GitLab OAuth credentials from request logs. The GitLab OAuth validator places client_id and client_secret in a POST request's URL query string rather than its request body. Administrative config-tool access and access to server, proxy, or monitoring logs are required; disclosure is limited to credentials recorded there.
