Tenant-to-cluster administrator escalation via ServiceAccount token
Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Privilege escalation in Red Hat multicluster engine for Kubernetes allows remote authenticated users to gain cluster-wide control. The ClusterCurator controller creates cluster-scoped RBAC for a ServiceAccount in a tenant-controlled namespace, letting that tenant mint its token. Namespace-scoped tenant administrator privileges and permission to create a namespaced ClusterCurator are required.
