Administrator account takeover via credentialed wildcard CORS

CORS misconfiguration in Network Optix Nx Witness VMS before 6.1.2 allows remote attackers to steal sessions and take over administrator accounts. The Media Server REST API combines wildcard origin matching with Access-Control-Allow-Credentials enabled, exposing authenticated browser sessions to cross-origin scripts. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to visit a malicious page; High security mode is not affected, and the published vulnerable deployments are Linux and Windows.
