Authentication bypass via lossy Digest password encoding

Authentication bypass in affected Eclipse Jetty releases allows remote attackers to access accounts via crafted Digest credentials. The Digest authentication component encodes passwords as ISO-8859-1 before hashing, silently replacing characters above U+00FF with question marks and creating collisions. Exploitation requires a known username, Digest authentication, and a password containing non-Latin-1 characters; a matching collision authenticates as that account.
