Administrator object injection via unsafe unserialize
Published Aug 16, 2026 · Updated Aug 16, 2026
PHP object injection in Turnkey bbPress by WeaverTheme before 1.8 allows remote authenticated users to inject objects via settings restore. The wvrbbp_save_restore() handler passes the raw contents of an administrator-uploaded restore file into wvrbbp_set_to_serialized_values(), which calls unserialize() on untrusted data without validation or type restrictions. Exploitation requires administrator-level access, and the published impact depends on a POP chain in another installed plugin or theme because no usable chain is known in this plugin itself.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
