Arbitrary code execution via unrestricted project scripts

Command injection in Delta Electronics DIAView 4.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a malicious project. The DIAView script component places no restrictions on scripts embedded in project files, allowing shell commands to run in the current process. Exploitation requires a target to open and run the crafted project on Windows, after which the injected code gains the application's data and system access.
