Unauthorized group-content access via anonymous invitation matching
Published Feb 4, 2026 · Updated Feb 4, 2026
Access bypass in Drupal Group invite before 2.3.9, 3.0.0 through 3.0.3, and 4.0.0 through 4.0.3 lets remote attackers read group content. InvitationOperations and GroupInvitationAccessControl treat pending invitations with entity_id 0 as matching the anonymous account, whose user ID is also 0, instead of returning a neutral access result. Reachability requires uncommon invitation actions by a user permitted to create group invites; the resulting exposure is limited to otherwise unauthorized group content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
