Local credential disclosure via unredacted client logs
Published Jan 29, 2026 · Updated Jan 29, 2026
Sensitive-data logging in B&R PVI clients before 6.5 allows local users to read credentials processed by the application from log files. The client logging component records processed credentials in stored PVI application logs without excluding or redacting the sensitive values. Exploitation requires local access to the client system and explicitly enabled logging, which is disabled by default; the PVI server is unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
